One of the most anticipated science fiction movies of the last years, Arrival, promised to bring a new approach to science fiction. And it did.
The two stories, the macro (the arrival of the alien starships) and the micro (the personal drama) are interconnected perfectly, and while the attempts to achieve a fluent communication with the aliens are mesmerizing, the drama the main character faces keeps you more restless than the possibility of a conflict with the aliens.
